originとsourceの違い

originの意味は

「起源、発端、はじまり、原因、出身」

です。

I want to know the origin of this country.
私はこの国の起源が知りたい。

sourceの意味は

「水源、原因、出所」

です。

“What is the source of your worry ?”
「あなたの心配の原因は何？」

Macmillanで調べると

originは

the place or moment where something begins to exist
何かが存在し始める場所や瞬間

です。

sourceは、

the cause of a problem, or the place where it began
問題の原因もしくは、それが始まる場所

です。

originとsourceの違いですが、

originは、今までにない何かが存在し始めたことに焦点が向いてます。sourceは、何か問題などがあり、それの原因に焦点が向いています。
